Plugin releases

Hi,
In this week i released the plugins new version.

The most important thing is the exporter format is changed. I implement a new feature (Separate by elements), that was why I needed it.

So you need update the importer plugin if you use the exporter. The full change-log is available here. They contains lot of bugfixes, and many improvements, so i recommend to use it.

And one more thing. In Cinema 4D R21 the plugin licensing was changed, because C4D licensing was changed.

Din3D importer for 3ds max

Din3D files quickly and simply imported in AUTODESK 3ds Max. It is suggested for those ArchiCAD users who use 3ds max for the model visualisation. It Significantly cleanses the geometry of the model there by reducing the time spent to repair your model. Replacement of model is also possible while all the settings remain the same.

The objective of the development of this file format was that it could, as much as possible, provide the visualization programs with the information of the structure and hierarchy of ArchiCAD beside the 3D model. There is possibility to transfer much more information than with the simple 3ds file format.

Features

Selective importing The following ArchiCAD’s content can be imported:

Usage of different filter levels You would like to see again the 3D model in a meaningful structure. There is no obstacle to it. You can use these filters, either individually or in combination.

  • Classes (wall, ceiling, etc….)

  • In addition, it is possible to import ArchiCAD objects as single objects.
High polygon optimization. The importer tries to minimize errors in the 3D model. It offers the following features for it:
  • Welding vertices
  • Automatic edge calculation
  • Remove Double Faces
  • Reduce Multiple Edges
  • Remove Coplanar Faces (in windows)
  • Remove Zero Area Faces
  • Fix normals after smooth
  • Significantly reduces the number of Open Edges

Download and try Din3D importer plugin for 3ds Max.

In Demo version you can import 10 times, but model update is not possible. Din3D importer for 3ds Max is available now for 59 Euros in webshop.

Remember that the importer plugin itself good for nothing. To use it, you’ll need the exporter as well. The Din3D exporter for ArchiCAD is available free of charge.

After Payment

Use the Din3DimportReg.exe utility and send me your ID file. More detailed information for ID file generation can be found on registration page.
Your ID file will be provided via email once the required information has been submitted. It is crucial that you use or provide a valid email address in order to receive your serial number. Registration Din3D importer for 3ds Max

Install Din3D importer for 3ds Max plugin.

Start the Din3DimportReg.exe utility in max root folder.

Choose the hard disk to be linked with the Din3D importer for 3ds Max license.
Allowed types: ssd, internal disk, external usb storage, pendrive.
Please do not select the raid arrays, because it is not working properly

Press the Save ID File button and save *.ID file on your hard disk as any name you like.

Send this file to sales@din3d.org. (link sends e-mail). Within a short time (usually within 24-48 hours) you will get an email from us with *.key license file attached. Save this file on your hard disk. Start again Din3DimportReg.exe utility and press the Apply Key File button .

In the dialogue box, select the *.key file you received from us. With this the registration procedure is over.

Please remember, if you lose your pendrive or your disk is damaged, you must to purchase a renew license.

Changes in the Max plugin license terms

As many people asked that the use plugin on your workstation as well on your laptop, so I changed the registration process.
The registration on Éptár webpage is no longer necessary.

The plugins connect itself to hardware (as in previous versions), but more flexible.
Allowed types: ssd, internal disk, external usb storage, pendrive.
If you choose a removable drive, then you can use the plugin at your workstation or laptop (of course not at the same time).

The new version is a significant increase import speed. Completely re-written the plugin, in many places internal Max functions are proven to be too slow.

Int the ArchiCAd and C4D plugin have made chages and bugfixs.

To progress Max plugin

So much of the developing Din3D importer for 3ds Max. New features have been included for convenience of use.
These highlight a few. A detailed list can be found here.

  • The most important of the Presets management.
  • I try as much as possible to pass parameters of the lights. This function is limited, since with ArchiCAD light parameters are quite poor.
  • The Multi-Material-s treatment also significantly improved.
  • Completed 3ds Max 2013 plugin.
  • The installer is now also find 3ds Design.
  • The manual installation works.

Do not forget to take advantage of new features to be used in fresh exporter.
Slow to release ArchiCAD 16 version, I try to be ready by then the Cinema 4D plugin.
